Sing Beijing

Posted January 26th, 2007

Had an amazing opportunity last month to travel to Beijing. Stayed with some very good friends, Mark and Carrie Tedder. We all played a little concert with the Newsboys.

Everytime I try to write about this trip, words fail me. I’m not in the mood to try again today, but I am feeling nostalgic enough about it to post some pics. Here are a few shots from the concert.

Cool Art::Great Cause

Posted January 20th, 2007

Did a post similar to this recently, but when my site went down, her site went down as well.

Leora Gardner is an amazing artist and has created some brilliant paintings for Fike and Dana’s companion book to their latest CD Morning is Come. The paintings were originally used to illustrate the book and if everything goes as planned, they can be used to decorate your home.

In a nutshell, Leora has been moved to sell 11 of the 15 paintings and donate all the earnings to an organization in Swaziland, Africa that is helping bear some of the burden on AIDS orphans in that part of the world. It’s a huge need and this is hugely generous. I hope you’ll take advantage of the opportunity to get some incredible paintings for a good deal, while helping out an amazing cause that’s making a difference.

Where’s the CD?

Posted January 20th, 2007

That’s what I keep thinking. My trip to China and other endeavors have kept me from getting this out the door when I was hoping to at the end of December.

Fortunately, I’m taking some time this weekend to wrap up production and hopefully I’ll be mixing next weekend for the final. May not get out to duplication till mid February while I tweak mixes, but I hope to have it back by the end of February. I’m really super-excited about how it’s coming along. Can’t wait to share it.

An obligatory first post…

Posted January 20th, 2007

It has to start somewhere.

First, let me apologize to all of you who are stumbling upon this site hoping to find some instructions on how to jack with your Staples Easy Button. My previous posts are, in fact, missing. The server I was hosting with has died and will not be revived. I don’t plan any future Easy Button projects, though I might at some point get around to reassembling the lost posts. The blog will focus more on my life as a songwriter, musician, artist and son of grace.

easy guts

For now, these links may be of use to you. I hope so.

It the grand scheme of things, being known as the first “Easy Button” hacker is a pretty lame claim to fame. It is what it is.
