The Mighty Don

From this page, you might think Don McCaleb just does one thing: HVAC. If you’re talking about that Don McCaleb, you might be right. But not the one I’m talking about.

My Don is a fabulous bassman and quite creative. And I should just clear one thing up right now.

Bassman does not equal Bassman.

Don is very gifted, played on my CD and he’s going to join me on the bass guitar this Friday night at Jimbo’s Take 2 for my CD release party. And if you have a lame excuse for not coming, Don is the guy I will send after you. Don’t tempt fate–just show up. 7pm.

Top 10 Edited Wikipedia Entries with Links

Posted May 22nd, 2007

Found the top ten most edited Wikipedia entries today. Most of these are pretty extensive entries, but many of them are just so controversial that when one person writes something, someone else feels the need to change it. Often one entry will undergo many changes back and forth in one day. It turns out that truth isn’t awarded to the popular opinion as much as the most persistent opinion.

It’s odd that October 2003 is the third most popularly changed entry on Wikipedia right now, no?

  1. Jesus
  2. Adolf Hitler
  3. October 2003
  4. Nintendo revolution
  5. Hurricane Katrina
  6. India
  7. RuneScape
  8. Anarchism
  9. Britney Spears
  10. PlayStation 3

Art Blo99in9 with Leora

Posted May 21st, 2007

This Friday is my CD Release and I want to highlight the amazing folks who have helped make it happen this week.

On violin and background vocals is Leora Gardner. Leora is also a skilled piano player and gifted artist. She’s so stinking creative, it’s crazy. You can buy her art and support orphans in Africa at the same time over at her web site.

Cage Melting

By the way, I’ve seen her newest stuff and it’s pretty amazing. You’ll definitely want to stay plugged into her site for when she posts pictures of those paintings.

Speaking of staying plugged in, subscribe to her blog where she’s chronicling her thoughts on art, charity, music, etc. Lots of great insights, interesting reviews and causes designed to bring hope to the world.

The show is 7pm this Friday at Jimbo’s Take 2 on Union Blvd in Colorado Springs.
