In high school I did a research paper on Miles Davis and learned that he’d tie his shoes very tight when he went onstage.

As far as poetry, I’ve often liked Shel Silverstein’s work. He even recorded an album of him singing selections from “Where the Sidewalk Ends”.

I also am wondering if this is the same contest that Josh Woodward (joshwoodward.com) has participated in. He’s been very prolific.
