From Nemo’s to Your Computer

Posted December 4th, 2007

As long as my voice gets all better, I’ve got a free show this Friday at Nemo’s here in Colorado Springs at 6:30p. The usual band will be there, along with one special guest.

Don - Bass
Jon - Drums
Leora - Violin
Dan - Guitar/Vox

Dan will share the microphone on a few songs and you’ll get to hear some of his completely creative songs and really unique voice. I’m really excited about this because we haven’t played together since college. Should be a blast. Check out his stuff here.

Finally, we’re trying something a little different this weekend.

The plan is to set up a web cam and broadcast at least the last hour or so on ustream.tv and here on my blog as well.

Here’s what I’d suggest you do:
1) Bookmark the link
2) Go to ohdontforget.com and set up a reminder to yourself for Friday at 7:00p MT.

Or even better, come on down to Nemo’s where the live music is happening this Friday. Here’s some more general info about and directions to Nemo’s. Hope to see you there! Or here!

We are open for business and offer the usual specialty coffee shop items, as well as sandwiches, salads, breakfast burritos, etc…

We also have free wi-fi internet service, and a 500 sq ft private meeting room available for free (requires a reservation).

Our hours of operation are:
Mon-Fri 6:00am to 8:00pm
Sat 7:30am to 2:00pm
Closed Sunday

We are located at the intersection of Pikes Peak Ave and Printers Parkway, just east of Union St and Memorial Park. We are on the north side of the road next to Curves and the Pikes Peak Work Force Center.

Discounts on Okay Album - $8 Download or $10 Physical

Posted November 26th, 2007

Looking for the most affordable way to buy Okay by me, Jeff Caylor?

A couple weeks ago I thought about re-pricing my CD. This might be an experiment. It might be permanent. I don’t know. I do have a hunch that the $10 price point may be keeping a few people from taking the plunge and trying a new artist. So, I’m dropping the price to $8 here on my web site for the digital download.

Nationwide Catalog and Yourspins

Posted November 16th, 2007

So I came home tonight and got my mail. As I was flipping through the usual junk mail, I discovered a catalog for the company that replicated my CDs. They had a large layout of my CD on the front page. At first I figured it was a customization they do for each client who has purchased something from them. Then I noticed it was actually camera-shot and not just images of the art. When I visited the NationWide Disc home page, there it was again!

Kind of silly, I know, but still fun. The real credit goes to the guy who designed the cover art and disc, Luke Flowers. And I’ve said it before, but check out his music at iTunes. It’s really a good album.

I also should mention that you can go and remix my songs even easier than before. A newish site called yourspins.com has created an online (or offline) mixer that lets you fidget with the volumes of the instruments and even change the sounds quite a bit too. They added my song “Almost Flew” yesterday and the community has already created about 12 custom mixes and a couple ringtones you can buy from the site.

Head over and add a couple mixes to the collection. It’s super-easy and surprisingly fun, too.

Read the Manual

Posted November 9th, 2007

Isn't the point of the iPhone that you don't have to be a genius to use it? If you can't figure it out from the manual I don't think this big book will help.
